Job Description: 
We are currently seeking a Junior to Mid-level AppDynamics Consultant to implement already identified performance-monitoring requirements. This opportunity is exclusive to the DC area and we require the ability to obtain a Public Trust Government Clearance.
For this position we require someone with in-depth knowledge of monitoring and application performance solutions specifically implementing AppDynamics.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Patching and supporting AppDynamics
  • Implementing application monitoring using AppDynamics
  • Provide on-call after hours support for escalated problems and conduct bridge calls with Tier III support, Operations Management, and Vendors
  • Monitor system usage for compliance
  • Administer, monitor and maintain system security
  • Research and keep current on APM technologies and communicate trends and future needs from a business perspective
Desired Skills and Experience - Technical Skills:
  • Experience with setting up and running performance monitoring and alerting tools
  • In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience implementing AppDynamics
  • Very good Troubleshooting & Analytical skills Experience Patching and supporting AppDynamics
  • Real End User Experience, Code Level Diagnostics, DB Diagnostics, Synthetic Monitoring.
  • Very Good Knowledge on Applications Technologies and Frameworks - Java, .NET, PHP, client-servers apps, etc.
  • Should have exposure in integration methods - Web services, APIs
  • Working Knowledge on Network Protocols, Port Mirroring, Switch Mirroring, Network Span
  • Experience in Code Profilers, Java Debuggers, Thread Dump and Memory Dump Analysis
  • Experience with other DevOps tools is desirable. Tools such as Micro Focus monitoring solutions, Splunk, ServiceNow and/or Cherwell.
Job Requirements - Candidate must have the following knowledge, experience, and abilities:
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in IT Operations and Application Support
  • Experienced in monitoring and supporting large-scale computer systems
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering/ Information Systems or related experience
  • Requirements analysis or business analysis skills helpful
  • Must be able to pass a background investigation - Customer requirement
  • Local to the DC area
